The Effect of Economic Growth and Investment on the Absorption of Industrial Sector Labor in Central Sulawesi in 2003-2017

This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth and investment on the absorption of industrial sector labor in Central Sulawesi in 2003-2017 both partially and simultaneously. This research is a type of descriptive research using a quantitative approach. The data used is secondary data consisting of: Large and medium industrial sector labor data and economic growth data obtained from the publication of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Statistics Agency, and investment data obtained from the publication of the Investment Coordinating Board with a time series of 2003-2017. The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that: 1) Economic growth and investment simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on industrial sector employment with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05; 2) Economic growth partially has no significant effect on industrial sector employment with a coefficient value of 51.530; 3) Investment partially has a positive and significant effect on industrial sector employment with a coefficient value of 0.0004.
